1. Ultra Action Figures (1997)

These figures were released twice, the first time they each included a letter stand and when you got all the the figures you could spell out KISS with them. The later releases of this series had small reproductions of each respective member's solo album instead of letter stands. Each figure is articulated at the knees, legs, shoulders, elbows, neck, waist, wrists, and some even at the biceps. Figures also include instrument/weapons: Peter Criss comes with a shield, a spring loaded drum that fires one of two spears, and two drumsticks; Ace Frehley's guitar turns into a sled and the rockets on his boots are removable; Paul Stanley comes with a guitar that shoots a spiked missile.

2. Psycho Circus Action Figures (1998)

These figures were based on the Psycho Circus comic book series by Image Comics. Each package included one Elder figure and the respective alter-ego that went with that figure... Beast King - Animal Wrangler, Demon - Ringmaster, Starbearer - Jester, Celestial - Stilt Walker.

3. Psycho Circus Tour Edition Action Figures (1999)

These are the Psycho Circus Tour Edition figures. They are basically the same design as the Psycho Circus figures but are wearing the costumes that were worn on the Psycho Circus Tour (they took some artistic license with them though) and include the band's instruments. Of note: the Peter figure comes with a complete drum kit. There was also a packaging error with the Ace and Paul figures: the Ace figure comes with Paul's Flying-V guitar and Paul was packaged with Ace's Gibson Les-Paul guitar. Photos show figures with correct instrument.

Action Figures (2000)

This is the KISS-Alive set. These figures just came out and are supposed to be the most accurately detailed so far. They are all wearing the costumes and posed just like the famous photograph that was used for the cover of the Alive! album. Of note: Peter Criss figure comes with the same drum kit as the Psycho Circus Tour Edition figure except that the Alive set is painted white instead of black.
