Reports From Mars

The latest report from Mars is disheartening but there is hope, yet. All of the adults on Mars have perished from some unknown cause, their little blackened corpses litter the Martian landscape. However before they died they had begun to terriform the planet and lush green patches of algae have sprouted around the outpost. Upon closer observation tiny newborns could be seen stuggling to survive in the harsh Martian environment. These maybe the only hope for the Martian outpost so they have been given sea-medic and given lots of oxygen from the "million bubble pump".

In the Magic Castle tank there are four survivors from the intial hatching and they seem to be thriving very well. All four appear to be males and I don't see any females... perhaps there are some that I can't see... For some reason the "bell-jar" tanks don't seem to be doing as well as the plain Ocean-Zoo tanks for me. Perhaps I am doing something wrong with them.

Speaking of Ocean-Zoos... the Galleon tank is doing well, however there has been a few casulaties since the last report. Jaws finally met his demise. I found him last week. I could tell it was him by his long grabbers. I don't see any more big males in the Galleon tank any more. I have seen a couple of males with small grabers but they don't seem to be old enough to mate quite yet. Lots of green algae has started to grow over the sunken ship, mostly on the deck and there is one sprig on the main mast.

sorry no pictures this time
