This movie was made for chuckles and there are lots to be had here. If you realise that this movie is not to be taken seriously then you will really enjoy it.
Some scientists are doing some kind of weather experiments on Monster Island and discover that it is enhabited by giant preying mantises called Gimantises (From combining giant and mantis. How original), a giant spider (spiga instead of Gider!) and a certain egg containing... you guessed it! a baby Godzilla. The baby looks more like the Michlin Man to me, but I digress.
Anyways along comes Godzilla to do what any proud papa would... try to raise his son right by teaching him how to fight other monsters and spit atomic fire (poor kid all he can do is blow smoke rings). Along the way junior might need a little disipline... Godzilla style.
Trust me folks, don't try to read anything more into this one. It is a comedy. And a pretty funny one at that, but that is all.
