Message from the Webmaster

Hey everyone, I am Bill Thompson, known as Salt Water Bill to my Sea-Monkey buddies. What is this website and why was it created it you might ask... I imagine all of my friends who aren't Sea-Monkey owners would like to know. Well it all started when on a lark I purchased a Sea-Monkey kit for my daughter. We were having so much fun that I decided to compile as much information on them as I could and put it all in one convenient place. The site started out with just one page and a short diary of our adventures with Sea-Monkeys. I am an amature web designer and I have several other websites I administer which are linked on the main page of this site, so evntually I decided to apply my skills to the webpage resulting in this website. Not only am I a fan of Sea-Monkeys, but I am also a fan of comics and the wonderfully humorous and quite misleading comic ads for Sea-Monkeys that I remember from my childhood so the comic ads in all their misleading and overstated glory play a major role on this website. Please come in and enjoy our Sea-Monkeys with us. Laugh at their antics, Cry when they die and maybe, just maybe you might decide to start a colony of your own. Remember there are a lot of really good websites about Sea-Monkeys on the web and don't think I am trying to be better than then or compete with them. No, This site serves only to compliment them. Since the launch of Sea-Monkeys - A Bowllfull of Happiness it has constantly evolved with lots of information about Sea-Monkeys, fully detailed instructions on raising and care of Sea-Monkeys, and our adventure journal; now with the addition of a guestbook, a message board, and a feedback form, I believe this site can now stand on it's own.

George C. Atamian Visits Site

Mr. George C. Atamian, President of the Amazing Live Sea-Monkeys division of Educational Insights and also VP and GM of ExploraToy, paid a visit to our website recently and had this to say about what he saw: "What a terrific visit I just had to your site." Mr Atamian has also expressed the desire to send us some Sea-Monkeys products from his company for us to review. We are very honored by Mr. Atamian's visit and his offer. This site was created completely by hand using Notepad.exe and Arachnophilia! Images were produced and manipulated with Paint Shop Pro 7.

This site was desgned to look best in Opera using a screen resolution of at least 1024x768 and a color depth of 16 bits or greater, although it can still be viewed in other browsers and at smaller resolutions, some of the formatting may look strange and some images may not render properly at smaller color depths. Fonts used on this site include: Verdana, Arial, Comic Sans MS, and Akbar. If you don't have Akbar then you can get it here. I highly recomend that you install it. If you don't have Verdana or Comic Sans MS then you can pop over to Microsoft.com and pick them up.
